Stamping dies, also known as pressure processing or pressure forming, are permanent moulds that process raw materials such as plates and profiles into a plastic state using a die mounted on a press. Types of stamping dies can be classified based on factors such as the shape of the die, the way it works, and its use.
Firstly, according to the shape of the die, stamping dies can be classified as single station dies, compound dies, feeding dies, forming dies, bending dies and cutting dies. Single station die refers to the die that can only complete one process at a time, such as punching, feeding, drawing, etc.. Composite moulds are moulds that can complete more than one process at a time, such as punching, dropping, stretching, and so on. Feeding mould refers to the mould that feeds raw materials into the mould. Forming mould refers to the mould that processes the raw material into the required shape. Bending mould is the mould that bends the raw material into the required shape. Cutting moulds are the moulds that cut the raw material into the desired shape.
Secondly, according to the working method of the moulds, stamping moulds can be divided into mechanical and hydraulic. Mechanical presses are fast and efficient, while hydraulic presses produce higher forces and can be used for stretching and forming production.
Finally, according to the use of moulds, stamping moulds can be divided into automotive moulds, home appliance moulds, electronic moulds and so on. Automotive moulds are moulds used for automobile manufacturing, home appliance moulds are moulds used for home appliance manufacturing, and electronic moulds are moulds used for electronic product manufacturing.
Stamping moulds are widely used in automotive, home appliance and electronic industries for manufacturing various parts and metal components. The manufacturing of stamping moulds requires high precision design and manufacturing techniques to ensure the quality and precision of the moulds, and thus the quality and precision of the products.
